Fish Ladders

There are two fish ladders at Willamette Falls: the historic cement steps that were poured by pioneers in the heart of the falls, and the modern fishladder and counting stations, operated by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.  Fish biologists for PGE analyze downstream migration through the North Fish Bypass of the Historic T. W. Sullivan Hydropower Plant. Biologists are also constructing special climbing boards to facilitate the upstream movement of migrating/spawning Lamprey Eels.
