River Heritage Day
Free displays and activities open at 10 a.m. at the foot of 12th Street, near the bank of the Willamette. Have fun exploring the stories and images of pioneers and scoundrels, early industrial firsts, the 1873 navigation canal and four-lift locks at the falls, early steamboats, boat-building and the wood train to Willamette. Learn how you can help to get the Locks reopened.
Pick up your guides to short, self-guided history walks and historic neighborhood walking tours. Have lunch with the West Linn Lion's International burger chefs and just enjoy the sound and sights on the river. Booths close at 3 p.m.
